VLGE's Virtual Worlds: Fashion's Next Frontier

A new digital platform is transforming how fashion and beauty brands engage with younger audiences, moving beyond traditional runways and photoshoots into dynamic, interactive virtual spaces. Founded by Evelyn Mora, the company VLGE provides brands with the tools to construct their own immersive worlds filled with games and exclusive content, which can then be seamlessly integrated into popular platforms like Roblox.

The initiative addresses a key challenge: while many designers are committed to sustainable practices, producing large physical fashion events with a low environmental impact remains difficult. VLGE offers a creative and scalable digital alternative.

Strategic Partnerships and Funding

The platform has already attracted significant industry attention, collaborating with major names including Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury, and Vogue Scandinavia. Its potential is further validated by substantial backing from investors, having secured $5 million in funding from sources like L'Oreal Group, the British Fashion Council, and Lamont J. du Pont of the historic du Pont family.

Pioneering a Digital Fashion Week

VLGE made waves by orchestrating the first fully 3D and gamified fashion week. Now, it is scaling this vision through an event called World Fashion Week, where 50 fashion brands will debut their own shoppable virtual environments. This initiative serves as a bridge, enabling creators to launch interactive, commerce-ready experiences directly on platforms like Roblox.

Simplifying Access to Roblox

A primary focus for VLGE is demystifying the process of building on Roblox, a platform recognized as a crucial frontier for youth culture. Founder Evelyn Mora highlighted that while Roblox holds immense market potential, creating worlds there has traditionally been expensive, technically complex, and time-consuming for brands.

VLGE changes this dynamic by making the process instant, affordable, and accessible to users without any coding knowledge or technical background. Brands can bypass the need for specialized agencies, which often charge between $10,000 and $100,000 and require months of development time.

Interoperability and Tiered Access

The platform's functionality extends beyond a single ecosystem. While currently emphasizing Roblox integration, VLGE is also compatible with Unreal Engine and is developing connectivity with Meta Horizon World. To cater to a broad range of users, VLGE operates on a tiered subscription model:

  • A Freemium tier for basic access.
  • Three paid tiers designed for individual creators, small businesses, and large enterprises.

The Future of Gamified Commerce

Looking ahead, VLGE plans to launch an online retail store that will sell physical products from emerging designers alongside digital 3D assets for use within virtual worlds. This move underscores a broader industry shift towards gamified commerce, where fashion leverages interactive experiences to build deeper connections with Generation Z.

Evelyn Mora frames this evolution as more than a trend, stating it represents the foundational infrastructure for the next generation of commerce, seamlessly blending e-commerce, gaming, and cultural innovation into a single, engaging digital experience.
